PP-R Pipe and Fittings

Pilsatherm PP-R Pipe and Fittings are made of NOVOLEN 5416 Polypropylene Random Copolymer which is produced by BASELL Gmbh Germany. NOVOLEN 5416 material is widely being used at most industrial sectors in heating, cooling, gas and clean water ducts; in food and chemical industry; in filtering and water purification systems; and all sorts of liquid and gas transportation tanks because of their resistance to chemical reactions. Tests conducted at laboratories shows that the results of tension, break out point and bending test are all within the standard norms accepted by TSE and DIN.

The Pilsa Plastic Products Inc., PPRC (Polypropylene Random Copolymer) Sanitary Installations Pipes and Fittings are manufactured in conformity with Turkish Standards No 9937, 11451, 11755 and German norm DIN 8077 and 8087. Pilsa has ISO 9001 certificate of Quality. Pilsa also has Gosstroy Certificate and WRAS Certificate.

The Polypropylene materials has the following properties which signify a high quality of performance in practical daily use:

• It endures to heat and high climatic temperatures.
• It reserves its original form, flexibility and chemical properties at high temperatures.
• It is resistant to chemical reactions, acids, salt and alkali; may safely be used together.
• It is resistant to corrosion, it does not rust or decay.
• It has no calcification and does not hold lime settings due to smooth inner surface; the inner diameter remains constant.
• The friction correlation is very low, the surface is clean and smooth and will not hold other particles to fill in cavities.
• There is no need for isolation against heat. It is resistant to extreme heat and cold and will not deform or give in between -20°C and + 95°C environmental temperatures.
• It is extremely light, therefore easy to transport and install.
• The adhesion is very simple and easy by fusiontherm welding. Adhesion is firm and will not effect the inner diameter.
• It can be safely used for a duration of minimum of 50 years.
• The operational pressure resistance is 20 ATU at 20°C; and 10 ATU at 65° C.
• It is resistant to long term hot water transmission and under normal environmental conditions, it endures operational heat 70°C - 96°C.
• It does not absorb water, therefore maybe safely used in hot temperatures and humid climates.
