Mixture of Additives

BioMate® is a proprietary mixture of additives that when added to conventional plastics such as polyethylene and polypropylene, makes these oxo-biodegradable.

Plastics with BioMate® degrade via a 2-step process i.e.

• First, the plastic fragments due to oxidation
• Second, it biodegrades after attaining a molecular weight suited for consumption of microorganisms. Ultimately, the plastic is converted by micro-organisms to carbon dioxide, water, and humus and assimilated in the environment.
