300 series ASCO Transient Voltage Surge Suppressor

An ASCO Transient Voltage Surge Suppressor is a power device that provides maximum protection for critical equipment by responding to spikes, noises and surges in less than .5 Nanoseconds.

The protection circuitry of Series 300 and 400 is enclosed in a multi-cavity, glass-filled plastic housing rated UL94-5V and this is packed with specially formulated sand and encapsulated in epoxy that will protect the assembly when damaged.

Each metal oxide varistor (MOV) is individually fused to provide continuous protection in case one MOV is damaged due to extremely high surges or over usage. These individual fuses are made up of 99.9% pure silver links that serves as ultra fast clearing, allowing minimal follow current in the event failure occurs.
